Refer to the notice above, we did not see any news about closing of 12 server. Ya, is 12, not 1 or 2.

My question as below:
1. Reason of closing? ( Economy crisis? Easier for CM to catch hacker? Easier for maintain? )
2. Is is a technical glitch? If that so, please at least show that you care about the customer/users of yr products, tell us.
3. Did you tell yr premium user you going shut down the extra 4 premium server b4 they purchasing the premium services? Dun try to flame me that u never force the customer to purchase premium/acash, it is the same as drug addict and drug supplier. My home town word is "LamPart PartLam". I am a polite person, frank LamPart is my idol.
4. Can please dun try to host other popular game? Dun make those game developer get flame because of your own poor maintenance/management level.
5. 取之社会，用之社会 So much cash gain from the customer already since the release of MapleStory. Cant u spend some extra money to hired some more resposible person to handle ingame, qbox issue? Keep on geting flame, complain by your own loyal customer, not sian meh ...

The person we should demand explaining this to us is the 'high' and 'mighty' CMs or at least the person in ASIASOFT handling server issues to explain this to us.

Pros

1. Many channels are less than 80% utilized anyway, so it makes little sense to keep them up.
2. Hackers & botters would be relatively easier to catch now that there are less channels for them to operate in.
3. In the long run can promote better interaction before players - I admit I used to be a solo-only player but I actually found it more fun once I started joining up with a bunch of players for random dungeon raids.
4. I don't know but the drop rate seemed to have suddenly went up? From one run of SoD I got

3x def rate rune
1x stun resist rune
2x uch
4x osmium armour (2x1 slot)
3x mystic/terra/shineguard armour (2x1 slot)
1x redosm katana (2x1 slot)
1x alz bomb

compared to pre-change

3x mystic/terra/shineguard armour (no slots)
2x uch
2x osmium armour (no slots)
1x alz drop rate rune

Haven't checked the spawn rate of highly sought bosses yet eg Monakus Karion, Berderk Faello etc


Cons
1. Higher demand for mobs - as above, unless spawn rate increases, then it would be tough for players and parties to hunt for them. Furthermore, new characters could have to compete for their bread and butter (ie. quest mobs)

2. Lagging - the lag spike is quite bad; I killed Paksa in SoD with him not moving half of the time. Asiasoft will need to do some hardware or software tuning for this - with the additional/left-over hardware, it is possible to load balance the processing to more than one server.

There really is no need to feel upset over changes - the previous most heated topic was about skill rank up requirements - it died down after a while and people lived with it anyway. Should the cons above be fixeduced, I'm certain it people will move on too.
